With numerous educational show including tortoises, tigers, crocodiles, parrots , birds of prey, otters and gorgeous elephants. Catch a shuttle bus from one end to another if you aren’t a fan of walking!

Are you looking for a fun day for an animal loving family? Then why not head over Australia zoo, the home of the Irwin’s and many native animals that have had to be rescued. There’s even a small water park area for the kids, including adult kids to splash around and cool off.

Just like this cute pair, keeping cool!

Take the kids to check out bindis trees house from the television program , most of us grew up watching.

Opens at 9am, with a full fun down of seeing gorgeous animals. Remember to pack plenty of water, snacks and sunscreen. If you are interested in the vet side of things book to take a sneak peek of the wildlife hospital. Which I believe was my favourite part.

Homemade smoothie turned into ice-cream

bird, food, healthy, in the blender, smoothie
Froze 2 bananas and some strawberries the day before I made a smoothie in a glass rather than bowl.
Rather than adding sugar I used a more natural sweetener known as honey. I also added a small amount of lactose free milk as that’s better for my diet.
With enough patience this is what your aim game is.
I have also frozen some for hot days. I believe my bird approved.

Eventful Monday

beauty, bird, personal

Hey everyone, I haven’t posted in a few days but hope you are all doing well. Yesterday morning was quite eventful for me after one of my birds got out.

Image of Chloe in one of the trees.

My Indian ringneck who I adopted two years ago got out. Took me two hours to get her pack, but she didn’t stop calling out to me one letting me know where she was.

I got her back and she just wanted my company.

It makes your heart beat when an animal is let loose. She’s been to the vet for check ups and wing trim because I just can’t bare to go through this again.
