Here I am again with a yummy snack , a snack you can drink and eat at the same time. Depends on how thick you want it. With the use of lactose free milk 🥛. With the help of my hand blender I created something delicious.

With frozen strawberries and mango , defrosted a little bit , and lactose free milk I made a super yummy smoothie . Once poured into a glass , I put sultana bran, fresh strawberries and a drizzle of honey. For someone who doesn’t eat breakfast, this was good to have in the morning.

K is for Potassium

botany, diy, food, garden, mental health, nature, personal, plants

Looking at the periodic table the symbol K is for Potassium , a key element that majority of our Green plants love. To keep a plant bold and beautiful, it needs one of the key ingredients, Potassium.

Why else does your plant need Potassium?

🪴 Helps the chemical and metabolically process

🪴 Assists in photosynthesis

🪴 Generates chlorophyll

🪴 Regulated movement of water amongst cells

For the love of our plants babies, have you looked at your plants and asked them how they are, they may not talk back but they may have symptoms of a potassium deficiency.

A plant will tell you if needs potassium by;

🪴 You’re vegetables and fruits are not ripening.

🪴 The leaves at the bottom half of them plant are turning yellow

🪴 The growth of your plant have slowed or even stopped.

A way to feed your plant Potassium?

Avoiding chemical fertilisers, your plant will eat up the Potassium in banana peel. So rather than throwing out you banana peel , give it to your Potassium loving plants.

What can do you with banana peel?

🍌 Banana Peel Tea

🍌 Banana Peel powder

🍌 Compost it

🍌 Apply it directly into the soil by cutting it into pieces.

Do it Yourself – Banana Peel Tea

All you need is banana peel straight off your bananas, place that peel in a jar of water with a lid. Keep it in for 7 days. Remove the peel from the jar with the tea, and tip it at the base of your plant.

Key note

It depends on the plant on how much you need to feed it potassium, it also depends on the season and the environment your plant is living in.

Light & fluffy lunch

food, healthy

High in protein, light & fluffy, delicate and easy! How do you like your eggs? Scrambled, fried, boiled, omellete or maybe another way? I was tossing up between scrambled or a omellete for lunch… I chose an omellete, flipping it wasn’t as successful as other times but the taste was amazing and fulfilling.

Mini cheesecake

food, pastry, personal, sweet tooth

Yummo, with cream cheese in the fridge I wanted something to do with it rather than wasting it. So I decided to make Mini Cheesecakes. The recipe is for 6 but ended up having enough mixture for a few more. Feel free to try this recipe.

Ingredients

250g of room temp cream cheese, – 1 tsp of vanilla extract (if you don’t have that use maple syrup, can use more than a teaspoon to bring out the maple flavour) – 1 tablespoon lemon juice – 2 eggs mix in separately – 1/2 cup caster sugar – granita biscuits for the base or choc ripple

Try not to over whip the cream cheese I made that mistake. Bake for 20 mins, 118 degrees and leave out for ten mins and then put in fridge for an hour.

Homemade smoothie turned into ice-cream

bird, food, healthy, in the blender, smoothie
Froze 2 bananas and some strawberries the day before I made a smoothie in a glass rather than bowl.
Rather than adding sugar I used a more natural sweetener known as honey. I also added a small amount of lactose free milk as that’s better for my diet.
With enough patience this is what your aim game is.
I have also frozen some for hot days. I believe my bird approved.

The white over the fruit with the pancakes is just a little bit of thickened cream with icing sugar added in. I’m really enjoying eating a bit healthier.
